LEWONDE Deep Tissue Massager Spike Foot Massage Ball review

I received a deep tissue massager spike ball from Lewonde at a discount in return for an honest review. Last month, my fiancรฉ and I started working out and running again. We tried plastic and foam rollers, bath salts, and lots and lots of ice packs to help our aching muscles. Our backs and feet were always sore from always working and exercising. This ball is a life saver!

The ball is about the size of a tennis ball and has little spikes that are meant to be acupressure spots to help hit all those aches and pains that we have. It is a perfect size to go right under your foot or to roll on your back and release tension that almost everyone stores in their back.

I used this ball a lot for my plantar fasciitis and my tender points in my back/shoulders. Its very easy to use, either press against the ball on the floor, wall, or have someone press it into your sore muscles for relief. The ball also comes with instructions in an e-book sent via email.

Fitbit Blaze tempered glass screen protector

If you own a fitbit, you would be completely shocked at how much you bang it into other objects during the day until you own a blaze. I had a few scratches on it from hitting it on the stair railings, tables, and countertops until I decided to buy tempered glass screens. I received this just in time because my old one had been cracked for quite some time and needed to be replaced. My old protector lasted about 6 months and thats a good amount of time considering how much torture it goes through.

This tempered glass screen protector came in a 3 pack, hard case to avoid it from being cracked upon arrival. It also came with 2 alcohol prep pads, a dust cloth, and 3 screen protectors. Application took less than 5 seconds probably (took longer to wipe the screen with the prep pads than the actual application of the screen). The fit was 100% spot on. Theres no glare on the screen with this protector and its fingerprint/scratch resistant. This protector has a lifetime replacement warranty (Which is great for the price)!

This screen protector is worth every penny considering it will cost much more to replace a shattered fitbit screen itself. I will definitely buy this again if this one ever breaks. The fit is excellent and the application was smooth sailing.

I received this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review.

Tools4Wisdom Planner review

Loving my Tools4Wisdom planner. It's the size of a notebook so it has room for all appointments, plans, tasks, and anything else you need to remember. In the beginning of every month, it tells you to write down your goals and plans for the month. Perfect to accomplish what you need to do! An organized life equals less stress and anxiety.

The planner has a hardcover, monthly tabs, and a loose leaf pocket. It has monthly views and weekly views. It gives you space to write down yearly goals, monthly objectives, and priorities. The space for each day is enough to write appointments, tasks, goals or anything that you might need to remember. the font is large for anyone who has visual problems (like myself).

It is very user friendly. It motivates you to write down more and stay organized. Having a new planner is always very exciting because it feels like a new start but this one makes it easy to really stay on task. I would recommend this to anyone who feels like they need a little more organization in their life.. and lets be real, I think thats pretty much everyone!

If you're interested in this planner, check out their Amazon here for more information! The price is budget friendly and great to start getting your life a little more organized and keep your days a little less stressful!

Leader Accessories pet cover review

I got to review the Leader Accessories pet couch cover for a discount in exchange for an honest review. As you can see in my instagram post, I have two dogs and my couch is their favorite spot, especially for Delilah. Well its so hard to keep their hair off of the couch and we used to just use a blanket to cover our sofa. The bad thing about using a blanket is it's not fitted and it would always slide down or off the top and the arms of the sofa. It drove me nuts. I had been meaning to buy one for a couple years but just never put the time and effort into researching a good brand.

Luckily this is where Leader Accessories stepped in and helped me out. I received the cover in a large box and it was folded very neatly. Unfortunately, it does appear a little wrinkled in the photo but it ironed itself out once we started sitting/lying on it. The fabric is suede and super soft. I fell asleep on it moments after I put it on (and so did Delilah). Its 69"x69" in size, fits my three seat couch very easily without slipping off the back or moving around to much by the anchors in the seat cushions. Its fool proof to put on.

It does advertise that it is spill proof but I havent tested that out. I would rather never find out if it is spill proof or not. Luckily my dogs don't drink coffee on the couch every morning. I haven't washed it in the washer but I have taken a damp cloth to some spots where my dogs left their toys on and left a little wet stain. It came off very easily.

Overall, I love this product and my dogs think its very comfortable. I wish I had gotten this years ago. I plan on purchasing a couch for my upcoming move and will probably buy another cover just for that couch! Check out their Amazon page here if you're interested in buying or reading more information.

Premium loose leaf tea sampler review

I received this premium loose leaf tea sampler from NuovaVita. I just recently got into drinking tea since Fall and Winter are approaching quickly. I spent over $120 at Teavana and realized that it was a little too much for an average person to spend on tea.

This loose leaf sampler is only $15.95 on Amazon and includes 10 different flavored pouches. Each pouch makes about 5 cups of tea. So this whole sampler makes roughly 50 cups of tea for less than $16. Talk about affordable. (Not to mention, its wrapped in a perfect holiday themed package, perfect for Christmas gifts!)

The 10 different flavors include:
  1. India's Original Masala Chai
  2. Cinnamon Chai
  3. Sweet Cinnamon Chai Assam Teas
  4. Assam Exotic Black Tea Green Tea
  5. Organic Darjeeling Green Teas
  6. Singbulli Organic and Fair Trade tea
  7. Clonal Premium Signature Exotic Darjeeling Blend Nepal Tea
  8. Samal Valley FF15
  9. Organic Breakfast Tea
  10. Early Grey Tea
It is a great combo of chai, Darjeeling, Assam, green, Nepal, breakfast, and Earl grey teas. Each package states what date they were packaged to ensure freshness. All ingredients are 100% natural. And they offer 100% satisfaction guarantee.

I still haven't drank all of these teas, considering there are a lot of flavors to try. I followed their directions, directly quoted below.

Directions Take 1 teaspoon tea leaves. About 2 grams of leaves is ideal for a black tea preparation. Pour freshly boiled water over the tea leaves. Boil the water to 100 degrees celsius. You can then let it cool down to upto 90 degrees. Steep for 3-5 minutes depending on your taste. Strain the leaves out & enjoy. Best consumed without or with very little milk. A sweetener like sugar or honey can be added as per taste.

I usually only steep my black, green, and chai teas for about 3 minutes because I don't like them too strong. But I placed about 1 tsp of leaves into a strainer and left it in boiling water for about 3 minutes. I then added only a teaspoon of honey and enjoyed the delicious taste. I am so excited to try all the other flavors, especially with my loved ones on these cold crisp nights.

I did receive this product at a discounted  rate in exchange for an honest review. I would recommend this for anyone who loves a great variety pack of loose leaf tea. I will probably buy a few packs for coworkers who love tea as well during the holiday season.

New York Biology Lavender and Peppermint reviews

New York Biology is a maker of some of the best essential oils out there right now. I got to test out their lavender and peppermint scents, completely satisfied with their products.

The peppermint has been filling up my house with a great smell. I put a few drops in my diffuser recently and it just freshens it all up. Peppermint has many great benefits like helping with congestion, anxiety, restlessness, clears the mind, and helps increase focus on cognitive tasks. I've also used it to rub on my temples during a headache and on my abdomens to help with digestion and relieve constipation. This lovely glass bottle comes with a dropper which makes it much easier to measure and use.

This essential oil mixes well with eucalyptus, rosemary, lemon, and marjoram.

As a person who suffers from anxiety and sleeping problems, lavender is the most important essential oil that I use. It's easy to put a couple drops in a relaxing bath, spray some on a pillow before bed to help with sleep, and many other uses. I have even been able to make a lavender muscle relief rub with coconut oil and other essential oils. This lavender is absolutely amazing and smells great. The oil also comes with a dropper to make measuring much easier.

Both of these products were purchased at a discount in exchange for an honest review. However, this company stands by their product and they are very friendly and great with customer satisfaction. I will continue to purchase my essential oils from them because I know its top quality. My review is 100% honest.

Here are the Amazon links to the peppermint and to lavender.

100% Natural Turmeric Curcumin review

Hello everyone! I was luck to be able to participate in reviewing this Turmeric Curcumin with BioPerine from 100 Naturals. I have heard endless benefits from taking turmeric, either in pill form or cooking with it, from countless people. It is used mainly for conditions with inflammation like arthritis, lupus, IBS, fibromyalgia, and many many other illnesses. I recently injured my shoulder and am not a fan of taking pain meds or pharmaceutical anti-inflammatories. I came upon this turmeric, with bioperene, and decided to give it a shot. I did research and found that I should take it twice a day, with food if I find myself to become sick to my stomach. So far, I have eaten it with breakfast and with dinner with no problems for about 6 days. This turmeric capsule is gluten, soy, milk, egg, shellfish, corn, and peanut free and is non-GMO. This is a plus since many vitamins and supplements have gluten hidden and have pork fillers. I feel confident about this brand being 100% natural and consuming it for health purposes. The best part is that the company as a 100% satisfaction guarantee but I am sure I will not be using it. I know it has only been 6 days using the supplement, I still have no relief from my shoulder injury. I am awaiting an MRI to see if I have a tear, in that case, the turmeric will not help with that at all. However, I have noticed less aches and pains around my ribs and knees. I am excited to see how this will also affect my skin and bowels. I plan on taking the whole pill regimen and will hopefully post an update when I finish it. I did receive this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review. My opinions are 100% my own and not influenced by the discount. For now, I will absolutely recommend this product and I know that supplements affect everyone differently. I do hope that it work for anyone deciding to test it out!

Body Glide review

Hello everyone! This week I was able to review an awesome must have for long distance runners. Training for a half marathon always equals blisters and chafing but thank the lord for body glide.

Body glide is the original antiblister and anti chafing balm. It looks just like a stick of deodorant and is super easy and not messy to apply. Just a small amount can go a long way and can be placed anywhere except eyes and mouth. It does not leave an oily or sticky residue. It is also resistant to perspiration and is hypoallergenic.

I personally use this on my chub rub thighs and it works marvels. I also place it under my arms and on my bra line with much success. I have tried this on my feet since I tend to get blisters on the balls and heels but unfortunately it didn't help too much. If I run more than 10 miles, my feet tend to develop blisters but that is just an inevitable occurence.

Even though I don't have too much success with my feet blisters, I highly recommend this to anyone who experiences chafing and blisters on a daily basis. Whether it be for running, walking, weight lifting, or just a hot day in the sun, this Body Glide is definitely for you!!

Check out this product on their Amazon page here.

I received this product at a discount for an honest review. However, my opinion is 100% my own.

Vinebrook wrap bracelet review

It has been a long time since I posted anything on this blog. Getting my bachelors degree in nursing is taking up all my time but I hope to rev this site up since I plan on graduating in about a month.

Anyway! I have gotten lots of stuff to review lately but loved my Vinebrook wrap bracelet so much. It has leather outer bands and multi-colored beads on the inside. It is easily fastened with a loop and button and should fit any size wrist. I loved how the beads match my Fitbit and pretty much all of my clothes! They had colors to match anyone's preferences.

Check out their Etsy shop here.
Check out their Instagram here.

I did receive this product at a discount but it in no way influenced this review. I plan on going back and buying a summer colored wrap bracelet for the warmer season!

Primed4U Iphone 6 case review

I was just recently able to upgrade my phone to an iPhone 6 from an iPhone 4 after shattering my screen and knew that I needed a good case to protect my brand new baby. I was lucky enough to be able to review the Primed4U iPhone 6 case.

I have to say this case is very sleek, pretty, and not one of those cases that looks like it belongs to your 8 year old daughter. The case is 2-in-1, the inside is a comfortable, plastic case to grip the phone while the outside is a harder plastic to encase the jelly inside. The case is also very very slim, almost feels like nothing in holding your phone because it is so light. The cuts and slits for the volume buttons, power on/off buttons, speakers, and charger cable line up perfectly, not like other cases which require you to take it off in order to use it. The company Primed4U also has a lifetime guarantee, money back satisfaction. Since ordering the phone case, the company has sent me multiple emails to follow up and see how well I am liking the case.

I got the phone case prior to purchasing my phone and was very happy knowing that it would be protected the moment it came out of the box. Although the case is slim, it truly does feel like it is protected enough from falls and cracking. The buttons align perfectly and I do not need to take off the case to use headphones or charge the phone. Using the camera and flash offers me no problems and my pictures come out perfect. The only issue I do have for future cases that this company might make is that the front part of the case is NOT raise so that if it does fall down screen first, I would feel that the screen might shatter. I did however drop my phone on cement and it didn't crack at all. I love the level of protection but I do think the company could improve it by raising the case around the front a little bit more.

Its been almost 4 weeks with this case and I can't offer a single complaint besides the recommendation I mentioned before. I love the case and it makes my phone look sleek and slim. I hope that the case lasts me a while and protects my phone.

If you are interested in the Primed4U iPhone 6 phone case, check out their Amazon page here for more information!

I received this product in return for a 100% honest review.

Ape Tape Kinesiology Tape Review

  • I was given the opportunity to review this awesome kinesiology tape by Ape Tape. My photos of me actually using it are below, and excuse my crazy shoes, I was wearing my work attire. :) I have posted about other kinesiology tapes previously and I hope you enjoy this one as well!

  • The Ape Tape comes in a 2 inch or 4 inch wide, continuous not precut roll. It comes in three colors, black, orange, and sky blue. It can be a little more difficult to use because it is not precut but with a little bit of practice, you can learn how much you need very quickly and easily.

  • In case you have never heard of or used kinesiology tape before, it is a tape used for pain relief, injury recovery, and increased circulation or lymphatic drainage to an area. It is more common among athletes but I have used it on physical therapy patients after an injury at home with much relief. The tape can also assist with soreness, tension, or cramping.

  • Kinesiology tape is always my go to before a long run, after any sort of extensive weight lifting session, or after being on my feet so much at work. Tape could easily be used for anyone who loves to bike, run, walk, work a lot on their feet, cross fit, weight lifting, dance, or even someone working in an office with carpal tunnel. There are many different ways to tape and various techniques. I always youtube how to tape body part here because each spot has a different way to tape.
I placed the Ape Tape for my runners knee which I have been suffering from for some time but always find relief with kinesiology tape. The application was simple, I cut my own strips and placed it with the amount of tension I needed. I walked my usually 4 miles at work that night with minimal peeling. After my shower, I noted that it did peel a little bit more than other brands have and don't think I would recommend this tape for swimming even though I think it would last for at least the swim. The brand Ape Tape says that it should last a maximum of 3 days with sweating, swimming, and showering, but I don't think it would last all 3 days if used while swimming. However, I don't swim much so I cannot offer much help with that part of the review.

Overall, I did enjoy the Ape Tape. I did find comfort and did not find myself taking any pain relievers during my shift at work. I have to admit that the ends did start to peel quickly my shower but I usually change my tape after showers anyway so I didn't find it to be a problem. Since I have only used it for my knee, I cannot review how it helps other joints like hips, wrists, ribs, elbows, etc but I hope that it provides as much comfort there as it did to my knee.

If you are interested in purchasing Ape Tape, check out their Amazon page here.

I was given this product in return for an honest review.

Silicon Devices Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds Review

Hello everyone! I got the Silicon Devices wireless bluetooth earbuds for free in return for an honest review. The earbuds came in a small box with a zip up case, a USB charger, multiple ear buds in different sizes, and a user manual. The earbuds themselves were very easy to set up, turn on, and to charge. It took about two hours for them to charge completely and then I was able to go out the door on my run.

The device is turned on by a small button on the right earbud that you hold down for about 5 seconds until the lights start flashing. There are also volume control buttons on the same ear bud and the music can be paused and played with the buttons as well.

The ear buds are labeled with right and left and simple to insert into your ears without any problems. The sound was very clear and the volume was perfect. I was even able to make a phone call with the earbuds because of the microphone installed into it.

These earbuds are able to be used with an iPhone 4-6, Android, and other Bluetooth capable devices. Simply go to your settings and turn on Bluetooth and sync the headphones to your phone. Simple as that.

Whether your favorite activities include running, biking, walking the dogs, hiking, lifting weights.. or even a commute to work on a train, bus, or relaxing watching some Netflix on your couch, these earbuds are perfect for the occasion.

I had never used wireless earbuds before and I have to say I fell in love with them instantly. No tangling of wires and smacking all over my body when I take each step. I personally used them only for running and walking and only had one problem. Whenever I adjusted the right earbud, I would always accidentally hit the "pause" or "play" button and my music would stop. Other than that, the earbuds stayed in place with no problem and the volume was more that adequate. They are super light weight and comfortable, with no movement at all.

Styles 2 Fitness Massage Stick Roller Review!

Hello y'all! I have a new review for everyone and it has been a total lifesaver for this past month. It is the Styles II Fitness Massage Stick Roller.

This Styles 2 Fitness massage stick roller is meant to bring relief to tight muscles and trigger points. I am a runner and I have fibromyalgia, quite a horrible combo when it comes to muscle tightness. I have used foam rollers in the past but they can get bulky and difficult to travel with. This muscle roller is portable, small and easy to work with, and efficient. The little rollers are hard and get to the knots very well. It is very easy for you to use or for someone to use on you. The handles allow you to have a tight grip and allows you to put the perfect amount of pressure onto your knots or pressure points.

This product is very easy to use on yourself, especially on your hips, thighs, calves, or feet. You may need assistance if you need to get your lower back, glutes, shoulders, or arms. Nonetheless, this massage roller is simple and to the point. Simply grab the handles, place the stick on the spot that is giving you soreness, and put as much pressure as you can tolerate to get the knot/muscle tension out. Repeat this step a few times and then do it a couple times a day. You will feel like a whole new person in a matter of days.

Check out my YouTube video to see how it's used and what it looks like in action:

I highly recommend this product and their customer service is incredible. I received this product in return for an honest review and I can honestly say that I bring this stick with me everywhere. After every race, I can pull it out of my car and massage my IT band or calves. If you are a runner, weight lifter, someone who has muscle tightness, this product is definitely for you! Wolsport Knee Support Sleeve review!

Hello everyone! For the past few weeks, I have been able to test out the Wolsport premium knee support sleeve in return for an honest review. This sleeve comes in two different sizes, with a size chart on their Amazon page. It is of elastic material, 50% spandex, 25% elastic band, and 25% nylon. The sleeve conforms to the natural shape of the knee and comes in a sleek black color.

I am a runner and a nurse, two combinations which equal havoc on my knees. I have been experiencing lots of pain in my right knee due to IT band syndrome and runner's knee. I used ACE wraps and ice but nothing really helped the pain, especially while I was running.

I was excited to be able to test out this product but nervous that it would not work as well as I had hoped. I was wrong. The first step was to measure my knee to figure out the right size. I ended up measuring 40.5 cm, right in between a medium and a large. I chose the medium because I figured it would stretch out a little bit and give me a little bit more compression. (if you are in the same situation as me, I suggest you do the same.)

The moment it came in the mail, I put it on my right knee as I was heading out to to work. The compression was perfect, providing me with elasticity to move and walk around without any difficulty and stability that I so desperately needed. I noticed instantly the difference it made at work, the next test for this sleeve was to use it while running.

The sleeve was put to the test during an easy and relaxing two mile run. I was nervous that the constant bending of my knee would be very uncomfortable but it wasn't too bad. I wouldn't wear this on a run longer than an hour though, definitely post run with a side of icing. The compression was just right and was very breathable, no retaining of heat that a lot of other sleeves do.

Overall, I was very happy with this sleeve and how much it has helped me with my knee pain and swelling. Wearing this at work and post runs along with some ice and elevation, it was a perfect combination for relief. I suggest this for anyone who is experiencing knee pain from being on their feet all day or anyone who has a lot of impact to their knees from running or weight lifting. Make sure to see your doctor if the problem persists to make sure the problem is not serious.

Bright-light headlamp review + giveaway!

Hello y'all. It has been a few weeks since my last post here. I recently started a new job as a nurse and decided to go back for my bachelor's degree in nursing and it has kept me busy. I am on break once again so I am getting back into the reviews during this tiny gap between semesters.

This review is for the Bright-light headlamp- a perfect description for this product right in the name. This headlamp is great for running, walking, hiking, or doing handiwork around the house. It is very light weight, less than 5 oz, with a stretchy headband that does not pinch your scalp or forehead. The headlamp operates on 3 AAA batteries, included in the packaging, meant to last 120 hours of use. This headlamp is waterproof and is 168 lumens. The product also comes with a bonus aluminum safety whistle!

There are 4 settings on the headlamp:

  • Low beam displays up to 9 meters and works just like a flashlight.
  • Medium beam displays up to 65 meters, perfect for night time walking, running, hiking, or biking.
  • High beam displays up to 168 meters, mainly used to find trail markers off in the distance.
  • Red strobe/light displays up to 17 meters, perfect for emergency car break downs. I also used this setting for when I ran so oncoming cars could see me from a distance.

In the above photos, I had just finished using the headlamp on an outdoor run. Before day light savings, it was impossible to do any evening outdoor exercise because the sun setting so early. Also, in the summer, its very difficult to run when the sun is out and running at night or early dawn is critical to not overheat. I am very excited to try this out more in the summer months during my favorite night runs!

Overall, I really enjoyed this headlamp. The lamp itself is very lightweight, it does not bob up and down during my run, especially when the band is tight enough. The lamp does not dig into my forehead and it's not overwhelmingly tight like other headlamps. The light itself is very very strong and I didn't expect the light to reach as far as it did. The fact that there is also a red strobe light is very convenient for emergencies or late night walks. I would absolutely recommend this for anyone who likes to work out in the dark, especially in trails or in an area with no sidewalks like me. I would even use this for early morning dog walks or doing handiwork in an area where holding a flashlight would be almost impossible.

The product comes at a very reasonable price and comes with a no questions asked lifetime guarantee. If you are interested, check out their Amazon page. Don't be afraid to ask any questions as their customer service is excellent and very helpful! I did receive this product for a discount in return for an honest review. This blog post is entirely my own opinion on the product.

This company is offering a giveaway to anyone interested in using this product! Enter below if you would like to be in the drawing for this awesome headlamp, ends 3/25!

I Love My Dog shampoo review!

Hello everyone! So this week, I had the joy of trying out a new shampoo.. Well actually, my two little dachshunds got the chance to try out a great new shampoo thanks to Lovely Fresh! The shampoo is made with natural ingredients like oatmeal and pure neem oil to moisturize skin and relieve skin irritation. Do you ever remember taking an oatmeal bath when you had the chicken pox? Its just like that, but for your dog! The neem oil is also an insect repellent to help keep the bed bugs away. There are no harsh chemicals in this shampoo and it is soap, detergent, and alcohol free. The shampoo doesn't irritate skin and helps with dry skin. The shampoo smell is supposed to last for days and leave hair or fur soft and shiny.

So, in order to wash my dogs, I had to do this in two separate attempts. Daisy and Delilah, my two dachshunds, are a handful when together. Daisy, see above, is a very easy going dog when it comes to grooming. She enjoyed this shampoo and it foamed up very quickly so our bath time was cut almost in half. The shampoo smelled like an orange creamsicle and the smell didn't disappear when I rinsed her off.

Delilah, see above, is the troublemaker in this pair. She absolutely runs away from anything that has to do with a bath, teeth scrubbing, walking, pretty much anything that doesn't involve watching tv on the couch. Her baths usually end up with me more soaked than she is so I was so happy that this shampoo foamed up very quickly. The bath was going well until I snapped the third photo and she snuck out of the tub and I had to chase her around the house. Good thing she was all lathered up because that made the chase favor her in the long run *pun intended*. Luckily, I wrangled her back into the tub and rinsed her off.

Both of the girls were dried very quickly and their fur looked amazing and not to mention, they were so soft to pet! They still smell amazing even after two hours post bath. I am very happy with this shampoo. My favorite part is how quickly it lathers for fast bath time, especially when you have a stubborn little weasel for a dog. I also love the way their hair is so silky soft and smells fantastic. Im excited to continue to use this product on my two little doxies!

I absolutely recommend this to anyone who needs to try out a moisturizing shampoo. If you would like to purchase I Love My Dog shampoo, click here. If you would like to check out their website, click here

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. I was able to test this product for free but this opinion is 100% my own.
